Anaheim is located about 20 miles southwest of Los Angeles in California. Anaheim is well known as the home of Disneyland. Created by Walt Disney and opened in 1955, this theme park was the first of its size with hundreds of shops, rides and restaurants. Another Anaheim pastime is baseball. The Anaheim Angels play here in the Anaheim Stadium from mid spring to the start of fall. Orange County’s coastline, just 10 miles southwest of Anaheim, consists of over 42 miles of beaches. Huntington Beach, Newport Beach and Laguna Beach are all within short driving distance from Anaheim. The Pacific Ocean sends some of the best surfing waves in the world crashing against this shoreline. The state and county parks along the coast are perfect for bicycling, swimming, surfing and kayaking. Back in Anaheim there are hundreds of shops and restaurants to explore and several golf courses in the area have online tee times for your convenience.
