Calistoga is located in the Napa Valley, about 27 miles north from the city of Napa, California. The Napa Valley is known for its world-class wineries and beautiful countryside. Touring this area by bike is perhaps the most pleasant way to take in the fresh air and provides the perfect excuse for stopping every so often at a few of the wineries. You will find bike rentals and tours available in town. Calistoga itself is a small resort town of just over 5,000 residents. A visit to a local spa will provide an oasis in which to rest and rejuvenate after a half-day bike ride in the country. Another good site to visit in the area is the Old Faithful Geyser of California which shoots steam and water to a height of 60 feet about every 40 minutes. Back in Calistoga there is a wide variety if shops, galleries and restaurants for you to explore after a day out in the wine country. Mount St. Helena Golf Course is located in the heart of town for those looking for a round. Calistoga is a wonderful vacation paradise in the heart of California’s Wine Country.
