Carlsbad is located about 30 miles north of San Diego along California’s coastline. The beaches and activities in the area make this city a wonderful vacation spot. Carlsbad also happens to be the home of Legoland, a lego theme park with plenty of exhibits ranging from “hands on” to robotics demonstrations. Municipal and semiprivate golf courses surround Carlsbad and provide a challenge for any level of golfer. Those with a love for gardening will enjoy an afternoon at the Quail Botanical Gardens in nearby Encinitas. The gardens boast over 30 acres of beautiful exhibits.
