Along the streets you will find everything from antique stores to stores specializing in shells and fossils. Fort Bragg is in a perfect location to view the redwood forests, which may be accessed by car or by train tour. Kayaking and fishing gear is available in Fort Bragg for those that want to get out on the water. Along the shoreline and just north of town is the MacKerricher State Park. This park has some spectacular views and there are many trails for hiking and bicycling. Back in town there are good restaurants at which you can regain your energy for another big day.
