Fountain Valley is located just southeast of Los Angeles near Huntington Beach in southern California. This suburban town area of the big city is in a perfect location to hit all of the beaches along the coast south of L.A., including Huntington Beach, Newport Beach and Long Beach. Volleyball, surfing, boogie boarding, fishing and much more is available on the California shores of the Pacific Ocean. Shopping is a pastime in the area, with everything from souvenir stores to fine art galleries. Marinas along the coast will get you into any one of a variety of watercraft so you can enjoy a day out on the water. There are also many whale watching cruises that leave from the area. Those that would rather catch a few fish than watch them may like a charter fishing trip. Golfers will be able to test their skill at the challenging and beautiful courses in and near Fountain Valley. Santa Ana hosts the Centennial Heritage Museum, which is an excellent place to learn about the history and culture of southern California. The Los Angeles International Airport (LAX, 35miles) is the largest nearby airport, however the John Wayne Orange County Airport (SNA, 4miles) is closest.
