Ventura is located about 70 miles west of Los Angeles along the coast of California. This beautiful seaside town is a wonderful place to vacation. It offers all the amenities to make your vacation truly exceptional. The unique location of Ventura allows for activities in the mountains, ocean and beaches. Channel Islands National Park is a great place to start. Here you can kayak through sea caves, take nature walks, or go whale watching. The beaches here have excellent waves for surfing and there is a long coastal bikeway connecting the beaches. There is even a large pier on the northern end of San Buenaventura State Beach. To the south of town there is a large marina inlet with docks and boat ramps where fishing charters and boat tours are available. Small locally owned shops and boutiques are located in the downtown area and the Ventura Harbor Village offers a seaside shopping experience. Local day spas are just the place for well-earned rest and relaxation while you prepare for another big day in Ventura. The nearest airport to Ventura is the Oxnard Airport (OXR, 8miles).
