Lots of live entertainment one block away, jazz, pop, rock, blues, country, dance, listen while eating at fire pits. Many indoor- outdoor restaurants, classy or easy on the wallet. Great Sunday brunch or eat on the beach. Street fair, art show, jazz in the parks, bi-plane rides, marathon & triathlon, ocean sunsets!!

Carlsbad is located about 30 miles north of San Diego along California’s coastline. The beaches and activities in the area make this city a wonderful vacation spot. The Pacific Ocean’s large waves in the area make Carlsbad a popular surfing site. Carlsbad State Beach has separated surfing and swimming areas and there is a large walkway which is ideal for a morning jog or stroll. And of course sunsets on the beach are spectacular. Surf fishing is also popular along the coastline here. Inland attractions include unique shopping experiences, fine dining and beautiful galleries. Carlsbad also happens to be the home of Legoland, a lego theme park with plenty of exhibits ranging from “hands on” to robotics demonstrations. Municipal and semiprivate golf courses surround Carlsbad and provide a challenge for any level of golfer. Those with a love for gardening will enjoy an afternoon at the Quail Botanical Gardens in nearby Encinitas. The gardens boast over 30 acres of beautiful exhibits. With so much to do you will want to come back to Carlsbad after to vacation again and again. The San Diego International Airport (SAN, 30miles) is the largest nearby airport to Carlsbad.
