Healdsburg is located about 16 miles north of Santa Rosa in the Sonoma County of California. This small town rests in a beautiful valley in the foothills of the Coast Ranges. The countryside is spotted with small farms and wineries and has wonderful roads for bicycling trips. Wine tasting may be done on site at many of the local wineries and also downtown in the Healdsburg Plaza. Also in the plaza are unique shops and antique stores as well as restaurants and cafes. For those who would like to learn more about the history of Healdsburg, there is a museum in town and even a wine library. Nearby Lake Sonoma is a great spot for bass fishing and hiking. A visitor center and fish hatchery are located near the lake’s park entrance. Tayman Park Golf Course is a great course to work on your swing and the parks in town have tennis facilities. After a full day of activities, rest and relax at one of the three spas in town, where you can get a nice massage and an aromatherapy bath. With all the activities in town and its beautiful surroundings you will want to return to Healdsburg for years to come. The Charles M.
