West Hollywood is located in the northwest section of Los Angeles. This community is nestled between Hollywood and Beverly Hills. However, West Hollywood makes sure that its identity is all its own. Some of the area’s best restaurants, clubs, shops and art galleries are found here. One of the highlights in town is the area known as Sunset Strip along Sunset Boulevard. This is a lively section of town with retail stores and clubs. Of course West Hollywood is also home to the liveliest section of Santa Monica Boulevard as well. A short drive to the southwest puts you in the middle of Santa Monica. This is Los Angeles’ premier beach community. It is known for its festive pier and artsy atmosphere. There are many art galleries and museums in town to browse through, but the best reason to drive down to Santa Monica is because of the beach. The large and spacious beach has plenty of parking. Stores near the beach range from souvenir shops to exquisite boutiques and make window shopping here a popular pastime. Back in West Hollywood there are some excellent golf courses and tennis clubs to visit. Day spas in town will treat you like royalty and you will leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed. The best part of vacationing in West Hollywood is having your own condo or vacation home to come back to when the day is over. The closest airport to West Hollywood is the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX, 10miles).
